First page
A collection of animated short films that make you want to read
"First page" is a collection of 2'22" short films whose ambition is to inspire a love of reading while showcasing emerging talent in French animation.
Eleven recent graduates from French animation schools (2022 or 2023) have each created an animated interpretation of the first page of a work of their choice from the French-language literary heritage in the public domain (novel, poetry, play, etc.).
The collection brings literature to the screen and showcases the work of young filmmakers. Discover some lesser-known works from the literary heritage, perhaps even hidden away in the archives of your favorite library!
